An ultra-rare impact glass found only in the Libyan Desert!

Libyan Desert Glass is a natural glass believed to have been formed approximately 26 million years ago when a meteorite struck the Libyan Desert, and the immense pressure and thermal energy generated caused the surface stone and sand to melt instantly.

It is characterized by a pale, mystical yellow color, and some specimens contain white granular inclusions known as cristobalite.

It is considered a power stone that provides soul purification and powerful healing effects, notably being placed at the center of the pectoral ornament of the ancient King Tutankhamun.

As it can only be collected in dangerous regions, it has become extremely difficult to obtain in recent years.

石の意味合いについて

リビアングラスは、リビア砂漠で採れる天然のガラスで、チェコのモルダウ川で産出するグリーンのモルダバイトと同じテクタイトの一種です。

宇宙から来した隕石が衝突した際の衝撃と高熱によって溶けた物質が冷えて固まったものが「リビアングラス」とされています。

その際に地球上の成分と隕石に含まれた成分が一瞬で溶け合い、希少鉱物などを含んだまま冷えて凝固し、ガラス質となったと考えられています。

近年、エジプト政府のリビアングラスの収集禁止により、供給量が激減しています。

今後は限られたわずかな量しか市場に出回らないため、価格が高騰すると予測されています。
